History: After a couple of kaiju attacks on major cities the Canadian government set up a research programme to develop defences against further assaults. One of the products of this project was Dr. Robert McKenzie's robust, compact war-machine dubbed 'Kajutaijuq' after a creature from Inuit mythology. Resembling nothing so much as a giant silver skull, the craft had jet engines to enable it to fly as well as two weapon arms equipped with a claw and a plasma beam projector. An electrical force-field protected the craft from close-range attacks. The whole thing was operated by a single pilot via a thought-control helmet. Initial tests proved promising, and the Canadian government jumped at the chance to show off the capabilities of Kajutaijuq when the United States requested their assistance in dealing with the rogue clone Kajiro-X1. With Dr. McKenzie at the controls Kajutaijuq went into battle and defeated its foe with relative ease, but at a terrible cost. The high levels of radiation that poured from Kajiro-X1 damaged the circuitry of the craft, permanently fusing the the pilot with its control systems. Driven insane by the experience Dr. McKenzie took Kajutaijuq on an orgy of destruction that was ended only after a supreme effort by US military forces. Study of the downed craft showed that there was no way of separating pilot and craft – the radiation had merged them into a single, self-sustaining, entity. When Kajiro-X1 was transported to Monster Island, the machine that had defeated it, now a kaiju in its own right, went into captivity with him.

Notes: The Floating power makes use of the variant on this site. The point could be sepnt on Flying instead, giving Kajutaijuq 6" of flight.
To simulate the pre-accident Kajutaijuq, drop the Defensive Adaptation to 2D6 and increase the Mind score to '3'. This will increase Daze to '10' as well.
