Based on a Manannan Mac Lyr poem the stronghold is a fog bank, hiding the Isle of Man. It was easy to make - it has a square base, so you can tell when you are in contact with it, and the mist is aquarium-filter material, which was just lying around - this is stiffer than cotton-wool, and lasts better.
