Here is my Great Hall. It is multipurpose. I used it either as a camp or a BUA for my DBA Viking army. It is also the basic stronghold of several of my HOTT armies like the Viking, Saxon, Geats etc. I used as Hrotgar's Great Hall for my Beowulf scenario and it is finally also my usual stronghold for my Rohirrim army, representing Meduseld, the golden Hall of Edoras. The hall is scratchbuilt. The walls are made of 5mm thick foamcore board and the roof and the horse's head aspect beams are of 3mm regular cardboard. I carved a wood appeareance to the wall with X-acto and did the same for the tiling. The stairs are made of air drying modelling material. The ground is covered with Polyfilla and then covered with modelling flocking. The whole thing is painted with water based acrylic. Scale: 25mm |
