This is the stronghold for my Hawaiian army. The base is an old CD, on which has been stacked concentric circles of cork bathroom tile. The whole was covered in toilet paper soaked in watered-down PVA glue which was then left to dry before painting. The lava in the crater is a piece of paper which has been scewed up, flattened out again and then painted and drybrushed so that the creases stand out. The foot of the volcano has been decorated with small stones and pieces of moss, with the addition of a couple of plastic palm trees from Games Workshop. Scale: 15mm |
