Following the announcement of the closure of the Sports & Social Club I have been scouring the vicinity for a suitable location to hold our Branch meetings. I attempted to find locations close to the Airport where we could retain the same day and time for the meetings, unfortunately either through the lack of a suitable location or availability, this has not been possible.

However I have now arranged for us to use the TAKELEY VILLAGE HALL for our meetings for the rest of 2009 .

The meetings will commence at 20.00 and will will have to finish promptly at 22.00. The caretaker will be at the hall from 19.45 to let us in.
 
The hall is located on the B1256 (old A120) and has a large car park (see Streetmap reference below). We should be able to make our own tea/coffee if required. The hall is indicated on the linked map below

In case the above link does not work the following directions can be used:
 
- for those arriving from M11 junction - take the B1256 (old A120) towards Takeley/Dunmow.  After entering Takeley Street the road eventually climbs a long hill at the top of which there is a SPEED CAMERA!. The village hall on the left about a quarter mile past the speed camera . If you get to the traffic lights at the Four Ashes pub you have past the hall by about 250yrds!
 

- For those coming from the east on A120 - Take the Dunmow west exit from A120 onto the B1256 to Takeley. At the Four Ashes (pub) crossroad traffic lights go straight ahead towards B-Stortford/M11 and the hall is about 250 yards along on your right hand side.
