Other sizes can be ordered to suit your requirements, please ask. Please note it is easy to make boxes of a different, shorter, length from these by pruning the long side wall. You are of course left with a "too long" lid but at least you have only one flange to fold to alter that, after cutting the lid down. If fact, reforming the lid flange is not actually necessary and the cropped lid can be secured with a couple of dabs of solder.....not as pretty though....I am sure our German friends would not approve !

Filter boxes (Tin-plate). These come in two
sizes, they have the same width and height (20mm square) but are
available 37mm and 55mm lengths. They
are pre-punched at both ends to take BNC connectors (with the
alignment "flat") and can be supplied as a kit with
either grounded or isolated BNC sockets
They are ideal for isolating transformers and small in-line
filters or attenuators
The Precision Detector pcb populated and full working details at http://www.alan.melia.btinternet.co.uk/Pdetpcb.htm This is a temperature compensated diode detector intended for use between about 1 and 4GHz. It can be used at lower frequencies by modifying the input choke from a meander line to a wound component. If used with the strip-line coupler in one of the amplifier pcbs you can have a 3.5GHz power meter (its original purpose) The operational amplifer will drive a m/c meter and provides gain and offset adjustments.I have been advised that this is usable at 5GHz but have not tried it there myself. (meander line left as is, not shortened) The fully populated, ready to go, pcb and 3 pages of information .........................................at £5.00
Coax adapters.(new) These are not of the

interconnecting leads, There are used but visibly in good
condition though there may be
a little surface rust on some of the fixing screws. They are
"good makes" like IOTECH, Amplicon, RS Components etc.,
and all have a double ended connector at both ends. At this price
they are not electrically tested !!

Vintage (1960s) transistor VSWR meter This
unit is effectively a 2 channel (optionally) tuned audio
amplifier with a nice big 6in.x 4in m/c
meter, The "works" are enclosed in a metal box which is
set in a very attractive plastic case with a carry handle. The
power is suplied by two
1.5 volt batteries possibly two NiCds of AA size. Unfortunately
whilst the holder tube is "Tufnol" and is not damged,
the spring contact at the
back is slightly corroded but could easily be replacd or cleaned
up. It will require the pop-rivets drilling out which I have not
done,
but is an easy repair. I have hooked a flying lead on to an
external 3v supply, and the meter fuctions well.....just the job
for your aerial test range, and will save you building Roger
GM3PMK's design up.............................................£25.00
