For a very long time, I have lamented the fact that there is so little material available concerning the life and ministry of Augustus Toplady on the Internet. All I have found are several links to a relatively small selection of his various writings. Most of what is available centers around his most well-known hymn, namely "Rock of Ages". Toplady contributed much more than that to 'vital' Christianity. Someone has once said that "all the theology most people know is obtained from the hymns that they sing." For me, sound Biblical theology drips like nectar from other hymns written by Toplady, for instance consider his hymn "A debtor to mercy alone," and also "A Sovereign Protector I have." I pray that those of us who believe and teach the Doctrines of Grace will rightly understand his earnestness in seeking to defend them.  I pray therefore, as this site develops, that I might, with the Lord's help lay before you all a true and accurate picture of the man, his views, and more importantly his God!
