About Us

Scolfe's of Boreham Street Village offers the very best in traditional home cooking at reasonable prices, served in surroundings that are truly historic.

The building, which dates back to 1392, is ideally suited for relaxed entertaining. Low oak beams, and assorted antique artefacts create a peaceful ambiance and, while there is ample space for large parties, smaller alcoves provide the ideal setting for more intimate dining.

Homemade Cream Teas, Cakes and Scones are available throughout the year, along with Crumpets, Tea Cakes and Muffins.

Chef proprietor, Katharine Bond prides herself on a varied but traditional menu, which is prepared in her kitchens, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Prices are moderate, and the standard high, with a comprehensive range of wines, beers and spirits to complement the fare.

Scolfe's is open five days a week for morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. There is a large Private Car Park.

Scolfe's to Go offers a range of home made dishes that can be taken away. The choice runs from scones and cakes, through pate, prepared meals and pies to a selection of desserts. Most main dishes can be supplied for cooking at home.

Special Dietary Needs

We are happy to help with specific dietary requirements, and can provide gluten free scones and other dishes as well as vegan and low sugar options. Some notice is appreciated if you have a specific allergy or request. Where nuts are used their presence is indicated. We make every effort to isolate them in our kitchens although some traces may be found in other dishes.
