Annie - Information

Under Construction

September 17-21 - 2002

Following their sensational Spring production of Singin' in the Rain, one of Glasgow's top amateur musical societies continues its centenary celebrations with a brand new production of the award winning family musical Annie. It is a suitable choice for a centenary show because the seventy-strong cast will include some stars of tomorrow: thirty girls featuring in each performance as Miss Hannigan's orphans.

Abandoned by her parents, little orphan Annie is left with only a broken locket and a promise that they will be back to get her. Chosen to spend Christmas with one of America's richest men, Oliver Warbucks, Annie is delighted when he decides to help her search. After many adventures Annie eventually finds happiness when the benevolent 'Daddy' Warbucks decides to adopt her.

With a lavish new set specially commisioned for this King's production and a musical score that will keep you singing for weeks, Annie is certain to be a wonderfully enjoyable experience you won't want to miss!
