Scottish Highlanders

YOUNG ADAM
My most recent venture was a bit of an experience to say the least. Got asked to come in and get fitted up as a soldier for Ewan Macgregor's new film (his other one). On arrival I had my hair cut and kitted out as a Scottish Highlander. I didn't realise that it was going to be set in the 1950's!!! Anyway, there were five of us and although on the day of filming, it was your usual typical Scottish weather, it was an enjoyable experience for all concerned.

TINSEL TOWN
This was for the second season of the hit Scottish drama series set in the heart of Glasgow and is currently being screened on BBC2.
My role involved lots of raving/dancing and generally having a good time on the dance floor.
Oh, and it was set late at night, during the summer in the center of a heatwave!!!

STICKS'N'STONES
As Bobby Anderson, I played a Southern American guy, who became a murder suspect after a seance and then a victim in a spate of killings during a party on Halloween night. This short 10 minute film had everything going for it and had you guessing from one minute to the next about just who the killer might be. We all played a part in directing, filming and acting in this film and everyone enjoyed the experience (except for a mother who found we had left her with a wee hole in her carpet due to an over-active candle!)

I SAW YOU
As a bystander, I was involved in the shooting of half a dozen scenes for this production both inside and outside a bar called 'Bargo' in Glasgow. The production is a drama about a jealous man following his wife/girlfriend around on camera. I enjoyed the experience immensley and it was great to see a full professional production team in action.

ON THE OUTSIDE
This was a short 10-min film about a friend essentially being left 'on the outside'. My involvement in this production was one of keeping the 'general public' out of shot as well as 'bagman' for the crew but I also got to see the production process in action.

VICE VERSA
A short 10 minute film piece that took a few days to shoot. It involved a couple where the woman was more dominant than the man. The scene in which I'm involved was where David was receiving a beating from his wife/girlfriend. I played a lecturer, and was one of David's friend's who stood in shock and amazement over what was taking place. During this scene (which was filmed from many different viewpoints to capture all the action), I went through almost a dozen cigarettes during one scene - surprising, as I'm a non-smoker.
(What I'll do for my art eh!!!)

SCOTRAIL ADVERTISEMENT
This was my first ever part as an 'extra' on film. It was filmed in Glasgow, and as part of a larger group (an audience) I participated in the clapping, congratulating and general appreciation of a 40% discount for Railcards. When it was shown the part that the rest of the audience and myself were involved in was the last few seconds of the film just before a man and lady bowed and walked off screen. Filming lasted three hours and reawakened the hunger I previously had to get myself into acting.
