After graduating from the University of Warwick with a degree in Modern
European History, Alex entered the recruitment industry on a graduate
programme with one of the UK’s largest and most respected recruitment
businesses. Whilst with this firm, he passed the Recruitment &
Employment Confederation examination, study for which provided him with
a grounding in employment law and recruitment best practice. Alex next
joined a national consultancy which was looking to enter the executive
recruitment marketplace. Alex designed and implemented the research
policies and techniques the firm required (and additionally contributed
to the broader procedures of the new division) and was soon promoted to
the post of Head of Research, managing and training a team of eight
researchers. During Alex’s time in this post, he assisted in the
winning of a number of significant contracts with many well-known
businesses and successfully managed the delivery of all executive
search assignments and other research projects. After leaving this
company, Alex worked for two niche recruitment businesses as the Head
of Research, utilising his experience to improve their research
capabilities and to deliver their executive-level campaigns. In 2003,
Alex established Alex Booth Attributes in order to provide professional
research services to a variety of organisations. executive research,
