New Computers
I have been building computers to order for many years. These
are made from new components bought after a specification has
been agreed so that the very latest parts can be used. I can also
upgrade your existing machine, adding a larger hard drive, faster
CDROM or re-write CDROM, more memory, faster motherboard or processor
chip, or a newer modem, graphics card etc.
After-sales service is just a phone call away or more serious
problems, say from a virus, can be sorted out by a visit to the
workshop. Help can also be offered with "Windows" problems
and software compatibility difficulties.
Prices for new computers are very competitive as my overheads
are low. After a quotation has been issued and agreed for a detailed
specification I can generally build a machine within one or two
working days, and a short tutorial can be provided to get you
going, when you come to collect it. If you wish I can sort out
an Internet provider and test out access.
My background is in computers, starting with their design
in 1965, so I can offer more years experience than most.
A common requirement from customers is to upgrade or provide
a new computer but saving data which has been accumulated over
the years on their old hard drive. This is a service which I doubt
other suppliers can be bothered about.

It was very competitive...In 1980, including radars
and a few radios it would have set you back £20,000,000
for ten.
