This set is in superb condition and looks as
if it had just been unpacked for the first time. The dial on the
top can be pushed down flat, which no doubt gave the mechanical
designer a few headaches in 1935 when he was pesented with the
problem. The set sold for nearly £13 plus purchase tax in
1936 (like VAT, but probably 22.5%). The walnut finish is gleaming
and I must peek inside and see if it's completely original with
68-year old dust.
