Thanks to
all those who have kindly offered either to be responsible for
or to help on a stall at the Fair on November 10th this year.
However, we do still need a further number of volunteers to coordinate
stalls and to work on stalls on the day. As yet we have no-one
responsible for the Tombola and the Toiletries Stalls.
In addition we shall need help with waitressing and
helping Tony Manning with work in the kitchen. Would anyone who
is able to help either on the day or beforehand in any way whatsoever,
please contact Roger or Mary Flint, 01923 263 411.
This is the major fundraising event enabling us to keep our premises
in good order. However, we are very aware of the immense responsibility
facing the members of St Lawrence Church, and it has been agreed
that this year one tenth of the money we raise will go to The Friends
of St Lawrence Church towards the upkeep of the fabric of the church
building. Their Chairman, Mr Eddie Theobald, has agreed to open
our Fair.
