 In July Brenda Bond wrote:

“I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Shoppers’ Service on 20 th July when Gill gave a small sermon on “Counting our Blessings”. Think of five at the end of a day she said, which gave me food for thought.

“As you are all most probably aware, the last eighteen months or so have been very hard for the Bond family as a whole. Although now things are getting a little easier, we still have a long way to go. BUT ---- this is where Gill’s message made me think. My blessings are:

A daughter who is gaining strength slowly but surely.

  • A granddaughter who, against all odds, is progressing into a delightful and impish child. Small but beautifully formed.
  • A husband who can cope and look after himself whilst I do my “ Florence Nightingale” duty.
  • A son, who supports my daughter and family wholeheartedly and drops everything to support them.
  • Last, but by no means least, a church family who will give their all in helping us in any way they can.

“Who could ask for a better set of blessings than that! My day was complete. Thank you all so very much, and thank you Gill for making me realise just how much I have to be thankful for.”
