- We are
charged with taking the gospel to God’s people.
- Fewer of His people are coming into the church and therefore
clearly we need to find ways of taking the message out to them.
That is what the Fresh Expressions day is all
about.
On VISION DAY , Saturday 26 th January members
from churches from all over the Watford area are meeting for a
day to find out how some churches have found varied and new ways
to reach out. There are some real success stories where young or
old, fit or disabled have been reached and touched. We will be
able to explore ways in which we can reach out to others in Abbots
Langley and it could be through things we are doing at present,
with contacts with our colleagues and neighbours, or something
totally new.
Fresh Expressions : changing church for a changing world
The day will
include worship and chats from people who have seen real growth..
The cost is £10 and includes buffet lunch and
teas and coffees.

Please pray for those involved in the leadership of the VISION
DAY, and also that many people will be moved to attend:
For Chris Nash and the steering group
For preparations (technical and practical)
For the day itself and the venue
For key people, eg people with specific roles
For the health of people leading the day and for safe travel
For a real awareness of the day (publicity etc)
For positive responses from church leaders etc
For God’s
guidance as to how Christians can work together in each area
For the
people attending – that they catch the vision
For the workshops throughout the day
For Fresh
Expressions as a whole – that many people
will be reached.
