At the Annual General Meeting of CTAL on Friday 18th January, the officers elected were as follows: Father Henry Niven as clerical chairman, Wendy Beaumont as lay chairman, Pam Rastall as secretary, Owen Roe as Treasurer. The two clergy representatives were Revd Brian Hibberd and Revd Gill Hulme.

Each of the churches (Baptist, Ascension, Methodist, St Lawrence, St Paul’s, St Saviours) were to send a representative and if necessary coopt a representative.

Bruce Oliver, the representative from the Ark, announced that due to heavy commitments with youth work in the Abbots Langley community he could no longer be actively involved in CTAL but would continue to support its work. He also invited financial support for EAGLES WINGS, a charity aiding dispossessed refugees in Kenya, which was agreed.

It was recommended by the treasurer that the contribution to CTAL from each of the member churches in 2008 would be £30.
