The October collection from all the Home Boxes has been completed and totals £30,800. Of this £2,443 was raised in the Abbots Langley, Bedmond and Hunton Bridge area. This is an excellent result and everyone at the hospice thanks the box openers and box holders for their continuing support. A January Newsletter is now available and copies can be taken from the vestibule rack, the hospice shop, or from Mary Flint.

The Hospice is reliant on local individuals, community groups and businesses to ensure that auctions and raffles are a success, and if you are able to donate a gift in kind that will make these special, such as a hamper, please contact Fundraising on 01442 689 555 who will be very grateful.

A Garden and Plant Fair will be held at Serge Hill, Bedmond, on Sunday 4th May from 11 am to 4 pm. This will be a joint fundraising event with the Hertfordshire Gardens Trust, and also open to visitors on the day will be the nearby garden of Tom Stuart Smith. Further details will be included in the April issue of this magazine, but this is to alert keen gardeners to keep that day free!

To celebrate a special occasion with a donation to the Hospice, a new set of cards has been created to choose from, and the designs will include a lovely picture of the Hospice Rose. For further information, call Fundraising on 01442 869 555.

O God beyond all praising, we worship you today,
And sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay;
For we can only wonder at ev’ry gift you send,
At blessings without number and mercies without end:
We lift our hearts before you and wait upon your word,
We honour and adore you, our great and mighty Lord.

Michael Perry/Jubilate Hymns.
