FINANCE AND PROPERTY

Following the successful Beetle Drive/Sausage Supper in February, our fundraising continued in March with the Film Show and Finger Buffet on 15 th March. As mentioned previously this raised £224 which has been divided between the Drain Repair Fund and CTAL, and CTAL has also received a further £15 (at date of going to press) from the sales of DVDs and videos.

The next event to focus on is an Old Time Dance evening with Ploughman’s Supper, with our friends from the Old Time Dance Club who regularly meet in our hall. The date is Saturday April 5 th at 8 pm, in the church hall. Come with dancing shoes and appropriate dress! The evening will include some modern waltzes, quicksteps and foxtrots, plus old time dances with instruction. Dancers and spectators – all will be welcome!

 Tickets at £6.50 include supper, and can be obtained from Tony Manning (263 982) or sign up on the list in the vestibule.

Repairs and decoration

• During the Easter Holidays, from March 17 th to 7 th April, the corridor, vestibule, small hall and ladies toilets are being decorated. Please be aware that these areas will be obstructed at various times, and seek permission from the decorators before going into them. The decorators will not commence the work until after the Easter weekend.
• The church telephone line was vandalized last month, and was out of action for some time. The telephone engineer has now repaired the line and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Finance & Property Committee meeting

The Finance & Property Committee meet at church on Wednesday 9 th April at 7.30 pm for the annual inspection, followed at 8.30 pm by a presentation.
