‘About two years ago I wrote to you to say thank you
for my bible. I said in my letter I would try and read it every
day … and guess what I did! I was in year seven then and
I was 12 years old now I am in year nine and I really believe
with out my bible I wouldn’t be the person I am now.
‘It has helped me through so many difficult
situations and once when I thought there was nothing left for
me I got my bible and remembered there was and there always will
be something to cling onto. It has silently got me through things
that I found really hard to live with.
‘I used to be a nasty person, I know
I did, I use to be a bully and I used to be stuck up, but because
of the bible I have changed. A girl I use to bully said to me
today, “no
offence but you use to be really horrible and now you’re
really nice! You have changed so much!” and I realised
it was because of the bible. So it shaped my personality. And
stopped me being so nasty! One of my friends laughed when I said
I use to be mean, he said I was making it up because I can’t
have been like that!
‘Even if god didn’t exist and
everything was made up what I said would be a lie because god
does exist. He exists inside me. And always will.
‘I can’t get over how much light
has been shed on my problems because of it. In RE our teacher
said that god can catch you at any moment and you can be changed
will I am soooo happy to say that he got me!
‘So thank you for the last two years!
What do I do now?!
‘Thank you again you didn’t just
give me a bible you gave me a life and a way out. It’s
the best present I have ever been given!
