Silvaen is the son of Flora and some minor noble out in Shadow.
He has his mother's looks and is very handsome, almost pretty. He is
a
shade darker than Flora, with straight deep brown hair, gathered with
a
black ribbon, and large brown, almost black eyes.
He is of medium height and slight of build.
He doesn't seem to favour any particular style in clothing, though he
tends to wear rather somber colours, deep blue, black and gray. His
symbol is a white lily on a blue field. He often wears a broad black
sword at his belt, but he rarely gets into any fights.
Silvaen made his first appearance in Amber about ten years ago when
he
turned twenty. Flora introduced him at court where he swore his
oaths
to Random. His mother proceeded to throw him the best party anyone
had
attended in years, she is good at those things. Everyone was invited
and had a great time until Random got his drums out.
Silvaen then took the Pattern and left for parts unknown, only coming
back sporadically.
About a year ago he settled in the Lily House, an estate a few days
from Amber City Flora gave him. He brought with him a dark haired
beauty thought to be his sister, cousin or lover. The rumours are a
bit
uncertain - they sometimes combine two of the above for interesting
speculation. She is often seen in Amber partying while he seems to
stay
at home.
He rarely makes an appearance at court, unless strongly persuaded to,
but he can sometimes be found in the library.
Those who have met him say he is polite, a bit reserved but fairly
easy
going. Occasionally he practices with one of the guard captains, and
seems to be able to hold his own. Sometimes he can be seen eating alone
at one of the better restaurants.
