Allies
Like the rule book. You can also spend a point to
be close ally of a ruler
of an important ally.
Good Stuff / Bad Stuff
Plus or minus 5 points are the maximums and there should be justification
why any character should have the maximum.
Shadow specific powers
These powers must be bought specifically for each shadow you want to
use them on.
They cost from 1-4 pts, the advantage is that they can make you
very strong on home
shadow even against people would otherwise be far more powerfull.
1pt buys sorcerous powers on that shadow
2 pts buys comicbook major superhero powers on shadow
4 pts character is a god on shadow
Shadows
see also Shadows
Shadows are a bit different in this campaign so I've used that as an
excuse to make major
changes in the costs. As soon as you make an effort over a Weak
Shadow it becames
a Firm Shadow. It costs more to maintain shadows that are faster
than Amber which is
the natural time rate of the multiverse. Shadows with extremely
low time rates that are
designed basically as traps will also cost more.
Firm Shadow
1 pt for basic shadow at up to 2 times Amber time rate
2 pts for up to 4 times Amber time rate
3 pts for up to 16 times Amber time rate
you can extrapolate from there.
Control over Shadow
1 pt for Contents note that once you have
bought the shadow and strengthened it
becomes harder to make radical changes.
2 pt for Time Flow you can lower it or raise it to the maximum you have purchased.
It takes Advanced Pattern to build shadows of Destiny but no one starts
with that
power.
Shadow Barriers
1 pt for Communications
2 pts for Access
4 pts for Guards
Strong Shadows
Golden Circle shadows cost from 12 - 25 pts depending on their contents.
The cost being
a matter for negotiation and is dependant on the shadows political
and military importance.
Iron Shadows cost from 5 - 20 points again dependant on their importance
and potential.
5pts would buy one of the Iron shadows that has not recovered from
some invasion or
disaster.
These costs are high but you become really important if you control
one. You get a major
political role and you get an army that's resistant to probability
manipulation and a match
for most armies in shadow.
Strong Shadows have the same time rate as Amber to within +/- 40 %
They don't have shadow barriers, control over contents can't just be
wished for and
logrus is always weak.
I'ts not anticipated that players will want to spend so much on a shadow
to begin with
but you can instead spend 1 or 2 points (to be discussed) to buy yourself
a position that
could lead you to take control of the shadow eventually.
Shadows of Power
These are not available at the start of the game and are something for
players to aquire.
