1. INTRODUCTION
================================================================
Zubee appears fairly often in Amber -- at least every year, as
if migrating, and sometimes more often. So quite a bit is known
about her.
Zubee is a straightforward, honest person, and I think it's
reasonable for a player to match the style of the character.
So
all the information I release on her is to be trusted without
reservation.

2. APPEARANCE
================================================================
Zubee is 180cm (5'10") tall and weighs 80kg (12st 8lb). She has
pale skin, emerald green eyes, and lots of straight, black hair.
Zubee's face is pretty, but she projects subtle emotions poorly.
Her small joints and narrow waist accent her feminine curves
and
her muscularity. Her voice is high-pitched, and she talks fast.
Zubee's symbol is a red stinger on a green hexagon. Her colours
are a dark, glittering "insect green" with red highlights. When
not wearing her winged insect armour, Zubee's favourite fashion
accessory is a pair of wrap-around mirror-shades. For about a
decade, she has worn only silk (or its derivatives) when out
of
her armour.
Zubee is often accompanied by her current husband, invariably
a
stunningly handsome and studly man with nothing interesting to
say. Zubee's husbands wear and have the very best of everything.
(This means they wear silk.) Zubee has never been seen twice
in
Amber with the same husband.

3. ITEMS
================================================================
War-hammer
----------
Zubee's "Stinger" has a long red spike (which gradually gets
darker toward the tip, where it is practically black), a smooth
surface, a thickened (also nearly black) back-end that improves
the balance and can act as a war-hammer, and a 120cm long (4
foot long) hexagonal handle of the same tough, red-to-black
substance. There are ridges around the handle that can serve
as
hand-guards.
Over-all, Zubee's "Stinger" does not look like something that
you should be unconcerned about being "spiked" with.
Armour
------
Zubee's "Beetle Armour" covers Zubee entirely, leaving no holes
or weak spots to stab through. It has a molded, corrugated
"organic" look. Except for the wrap-around eyes and the face-
plates, which are transparent, the armour is a dark, glittering
green. Whatever this armour is made of (and Zubee's answer is
"unobtainium") it "clacks," it does not "clang." The armour fits
Zubee's form in most places.
The beetle-like wing-covers at the back can open out, releasing
beetle-like wings that let Zubee fly.
The transparent face-plates are as good as invisible. Zubee can
breathe, speak, and have all her facial expressions seen without
impediment, but she cannot eat without opening the face-plates.
They open to the sides, like ghostly mandibles.
Over-all Zubee's "Beetle Armour" makes her look like a very
tough-looking insect, like a metallic green tiger beetle.

It's no secret that Zubee has a hive. Zubee has warned everyone:
"I have a hive Shadow. In my hive, I do things my way. Visitors
have no rights. No discussions will be entered into. Stay away.
Anyone found there without my permission will be stung to death,
no questions asked."

5. BACKGROUND
================================================================
Zubee is Julian's daughter, acknowledged and legitimate. Zubee's
mother was Zutzut, a great Shadow beauty and keen huntress who
met Julian in Arden, wooed him and ultimately won him. Alas,
she
tried to assassinate him, and perished.
Zubee seems to find nothing remarkable about this, except that
it was Julian who survived. However, Zubee long ago exhausted
her patience with people harping on this ancient history, which
happened when she was too young to remember. This is not a topic
that can be raised politely any more.
Zubee seems to have no important living relatives except Julian,
with whom she enjoys a correct, but not close relationship. This
is another topic where Zubee discourages questions.

6. CURRENT INTERESTS
================================================================
Silk
----
The merits of silk, the natural fabric of aristocracy: silk is
beautiful, elegant, lustrous and shiny, comfortable, light and
thin, crease-resistant, strong and elastic, armour against
arrows, noncombustible, a good insulator, the strongest natural
fibre for weight, absorbent and good for bandages, tradeable,
worth its weight in gold but should be worth more, far more.
The many guises of silk: satin, shantung, peau de soie, brocade,
oragandy, taffeta and chiffon. A silk for every taste, a silk
for every occasion. A silk for every personal color scheme:
silk's wonderful affinity for dyes. All the best people should
wear silk, and be seen wearing silk.
Sea
---
And for variety of interest in casual conversation: the vital
importance of sea-trade to the prosperity and concord of the
Strong Shadows. One simply can-not say too much for those brave
sailors.

Zubee has no great scandals to her name. She's been pretty
