Analysis & Selections by
.t.h.e. .r.o.o.k.
Whether it be "the race of the day" or a small prize round the gaffs, we will attempt to use our knowledge of the formbook to highlight the fancied horses participating each day and their characteristics and requirements. Hopefully this 'second opinion' provides you with a winner or two each day, or even reinforces your own view on a particular may even convince you to back some of those horses which we feel are the "ones to fear", or have decent eachway claims. whichever is the case, we hope the information is of use to you.
SELECTIONS - For each race, we have given you who, in our view, are the likeliest winners;
(1er _ THE WINNER?), as well as any runners who could run well at eachway odds;
(E/W
ALTERNATIVE) . Any runner from our features are shown before each race's analysis.

¦ (ONE TO JUMP 2003) - are there any horses from "one to jump 2003" our feature which; each season, provides a list of horses to follow during the national hunt season? ¦: ¬>-Translucid (USA)
¦ .t.h.e. .r.o.o.k. ¦:¬>- Not the greatest novice hurdle in the world, but a good opportunity for Translucid to win his first Hurdle. They useful handicapper/listed class horse in Germany. Has the form on the flat to take this and his recent second to Farfarello (who is a useful hurdler in Germany, who has won in France and
Italy) on his debut at Dieppe needs only to be replicated for him to score here. Sharmy looks next best, whilst I thought Ela La Sensa ran really well on his debut at Bangor and certainly warrants eachway consideration at he very least.

¦ .t.h.e. .r.o.o.k. ¦:¬>- Rob Leach, Dream With Me, Under The Sand, Brooklyn's Gold, and Colombian Green, have
realistic chances in the second although Midy's Risk, and Fatal Flaw definitely have the win a race in the right
company. Brooklyn's Gold is interesting, especially if he repeats the form of his latest
start at Hereford in October, where he won with any amount in hand, (though there was some trouble behind). he
probably wouldnt have been beaten whatever transpired and is a big threat to Dance With Me, however I suspect this gelding still has a few more pounds
improvement in him and He is marginally preferred.
¦ 1er. _ THE WINNER?¹ ¦:¬>- Dream With Me,
¦ 2nd place?² ¦:¬>- Brooklyn's Gold,
¦ 3rd place?³ ¦:¬>- Under The Sand,

¦ .t.h.e. .r.o.o.k. ¦:¬>- Moor Lane, You're Agoodun, Supreme Charm, Infrasonique, Audacter and Prancing Blade look best in the third. Moor
Lane, (who progressed so much through last season) is likely to attract support,
however I'd be tempted to take a chance with Audacter - I say take a chance because he
isn't the quickest of jumpers and is a little careful. That could cost him here, however this stiff course
will play to his strength and no horse will be finishing more strongly here. Infrasonique, grew on me as last season progressed and he could reward eachway supporters with a solid showing here.
¦ 1er. _ THE WINNER?¹ ¦:¬>- Audacter
¦ 2nd place?² ¦:¬>- Moor Lane,
¦ 3rd place?³ ¦:¬>- Infrasonique, [e/w]

¦ .t.h.e. .r.o.o.k. ¦:¬>- Batswing, Running Man, Just Jasmine, Chergan, Davoski, Returning and Saragann, have th best claims in the next. Anyone whose witnessed Running Man's wins at Huntingdon and last
weekend at Kempton will look further than him. He is a spectacular jumping when he gets it right and can set a
sustained gallop for the majority of a 2-miler. I have the utmost respect to Batswing and Saragann, however Running Man could get these making mistakes and that
ultimately could prove to be decisive. The interesting runner is Dulas Bay having as pin of this trip for the
first time in ages. Ironically the strong gallop may suit and I wouldnt be surprised if he repaid eachway supporters here
¦ 1er. _ THE WINNER?¹ ¦:¬>- Running Man

¦ .t.h.e. .r.o.o.k. ¦:¬>- Pure Fun, Safe Enough, Tosheroon, Peter's Two Fun, Putup Or Shutup and Dunraven, look best of those running in the fifth. I was very impressed with
Tosheroon' s debut win at Plumpton and am sure he'll run creditably off of top weight here, but he may struggle to beat Peter's Two Fun here. Peter's Two Fun's form figure dont inspire much
confidence, however tactic were changed last time out and he seemed to appreciate being held up rather than tanking off in front trying to make all. He was trying really well at this trip in that race and only
finished 10lengths behind the winner Do It on Dani. He's definitely worth a small
interest
¦ 1er. _ THE WINNER?¹ ¦:¬>- Peter's Two Fun,

¦ .t.h.e. .r.o.o.k. ¦:¬>- Midland Flame, Bow Strada, High Cotton, Romero, and Top Buck look best of those lining up for the
sixth race. Midland Flame is a lovely horse and was a creditable second to Just In Time at Exeter in May. He has
always promised to improve over the larger obstacles and is preferred to High Cotton and Top Buck.

(CZE)
¦ .t.h.e. .r.o.o.k. ¦:¬>- Double Fun; a winner of five of his nine races in Germany, will take a lot of beating here. He is bound to have been well schooled and should
oblige with a clear round. Briar, our horse to follow needs more time but should improve
on his debut at Wetherby... He may be able to sneak a place.
