The Chateau - Lincolnshire

Yet another Landmark property. This time it was just the two of us, which when coupled with the fact that our only neighbours were well behaved sheep made for a very peaceful break indeed. This is our third Landmark retreat in recent months (my sixth in total), within the last few months we've also visited Alton Station and Beamsley Hospital.

We only ventured out on one day to the very pretty City of Lincoln and apart from that stayed put - a
nd why not? As you can see below, the place was gorgeous and we made ourselves very much at home, as can once again be evidenced below!

If you fancy staying in this building or any of the others available, visit the website of The Landmark Trust

1. Here it is in all its spleandour - The Chateau. Actually, I should say "Our Chateau".

2. And here we are at home! Jason's admiring our rolling acres, I'm a little teapot!

3. From another angle, the Chateau's backside!

4. Oh dear, he can
get a degree, drive a car, sack someone but can he put up a deckchair?!

5. Got there in the end! One of my 'arty' pics, also known as a 'crawling on my tummy' shot.

6. I can put up a deckchair but it didn't want me, I know I need to lose some weight thankyou!

7. One of our friends, ahhh, they looked in at us so sadly, we told them we didn't eat meat - Bahhh!

8. The veggie proclamation worked, mum brought the kids over to meet us, knowing they wouldn't get chomped!

9.Then I scared them off with my Earthworm impression. This is a Landmark tradition in the making I think?

10. See, I can take serious pictures. This is Lincoln Cathedral, quite impressive we thought.

11. And this is one of Lincoln Cathedral's windows.

12. Lots of Kings all in a row. These were above the front door. Shall we get some for the Brae?

13. Notoriously hard to photograph. Rainbow picture no. 1

14. Spectacular view from the stair window. Jason holding the lamp out of the way has been digitally removed!

15. Rainbow picture no. 2 - Jason said that pictures were better with people in them, so you decide.

16. Stupid Picture No. 1 My feet in the air. Why? How should I know, we'd been drinking wine in the sun and it just seemed 'right'.

17. Stupid Picture No. 2 These creepy people were on the wall and we felt a certain affinity. Not the best digital manipulation, but once again, done whilst under the influence.

18. Stupid Picture No. 3 Me as a rather fetching edwardian lady. I rather like the neck ribbon, watch me start a trend...

Jason made a movie! Click HERE to view a panorama of the Chateau's landscape.
(file size is about 850K so be patient, should take less than a minute)
