The Grammar School - North Yorkshire

Not that we need an excuse to visit these places, but it was Caroline's birthday so what better way to celebrate. Me, Jason, Jo and the birthday girl herself headed off to the country for another weekend of indulgence and historical hysteria.

With such a lovely dwelling, we hardly left the house but we did go for a nice walk through a not so nice bog and frolicked in the graveyard next door. Oh, and we wore a lot of silly hats too!

If you fancy staying in this building or any of the others available, visit the website of The Landmark Trust

1. The Grammar School. Note that the bell is still intact just next to the upstairs window.

2. Late for school. Jason climbs the stairs to our weekend retreat.

3. Naughty boys hiding under the stairs. Never trust a designer in a stupid hat...

4. ...Especially a hat that matches a wooly jumper! We are The Landmark Trust.

5. It's true! White wine and salt do get rid of red wine stains on carpet.

6. Jo and Jason sign in at church! The next day the vicar asked if they were planning a wedding soon!

7. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Top Trumps Cards under the influence.

8. Caroline and Emu.

9.Steely gaze or drunken haze?

10. Caroline's birthday creature cake.

11. Blow baby blow.

12. Another Landmark property, Culloden Tower was just a few miles away.

13. Richmond - a place of many hills and a few shops, no essential purchases made.

14. Hats again.

15. The wooltop massive, hangin' with the homeys in a phonebox!

16. Quick! Run... weirdo hat mafia lurking behind wall.

17. Our last night and last few bottles of wine, Jo swingin' while she's winnning.

18. Always thought that Caroline was a bit of a swinger, now we have proof.
