This page contains sets of guitar samples. You are free to make use of all of
these files in your own work as long as you credit me for their use.
All files are mono 44.1 kHz, 16 bit pcm wav files, except where otherwise stated.
If you need more complex guitar parts please get in touch. Bespoke samples or solo work
can be supplied upon prior arrangment.

Single funky notes : Ideal for any incarnation of funk. Each note comes as a pair,
a short single hit, and a muted note. There are 28 samples in all. The samples were recorded
with a Fender Strat and a Twin Reverb through a Shure PG57. There are no effects applied.
The range of the notes is as follows.

Skanks : Ideal for classic soul or reggae grooves. There are both major and minor chords.
The major chords have the third muted. For the minor chords, there are a few lower inversions
to provide some veriety. There are 29 samples in all. The samples were recorded
with a Fender Strat and a Twin Reverb through a Shure PG57. There are no effects applied.
The inversions used are as follows.

Funky Groove 1 : A funky groove recorded at 90bpm. This file is a "rex" format file for
use in acid, or Reason, or any application with a "Rex" file player such as Sonar 5. There
are three files. The groove is played in A7th, D7th and E7th.

Funky Groove 2 : A funky groove recorded at 108bpm. This file is a .wav format file. There
are four files. The groove is played in G7th, A7th, D7th and E7th.
