Parken family's home had been at Homer Park, Brentor, Nr. Plymouth. The derivation of Parken is Brentor where they lived since 1500's.

Helen Dameral's father was Archiebold Sidney Damerel from Plymouth. He was a piano tuner with a excelent voice. There name Damerall goes back to a navy captain in the 1500's there may be a record in Plymouth.
Edgar Parken took my granny, who he employed, to cinema and proposed after. As he told it to me he had done it now. When I new him he was a very old victorian gentalman, he enjoyed tinkering with radios. He did not aprove of granny giving me old clocks to repare (take apart) because there were reparable.
Moved to Leven, near St. Andrews, Scotland. Later left Florence with the business and moved to Brighton and granny purchased lots of paintings cheap and a house. My grandfather Edgar was an artist in photography the photograph of St. David's Church, Plymouth in 1908 was a half hour exposure and people walked in and out of the church during the exposure is technically excellent.
He bought in to the first photographic business in Scotland , with
Adams in Edinburgh in 1922 or 23, the business moved to Vorth, Berwick,
then to
Leven, St. Andrews, where there was seven shops. That business started
in
about 1855. Adams was an excellent photographer the Parken family have
photos
from 1850's with fantastic detail. This was the first photographic
bussiness
in Scotland.
Both Edgar and Edwin were brought up by Miss Poole as there mother died
young.
I don't know who brought up Tom.
Edward Parken immigrated to South Africa in 1950's.
Dorithy Parken her father bought her a house in Gravesend she never moved from because she was the black sheep and should never do photography. Consequently was a WAF photographer with husband Roger.
Roger killed at road junction on bicycle by a car in 1970.
Arthur Parken immigrated to Canada in 1957?.
Wilfred Parken Farm worker before immigrating to Canada in 1955? Drove lorries, and lived under the counter of his photographic shop on baked beans.
Tom Parken immigrating to Canada in 1966.
Phylis Parken immigrated to Canada in 1955?
