Ethel Harriett Neaves was the mother of my maternal grandmother, Ethel Kitty Andrews, nee Striker

According to her birth certficate, Ethel Harriett Neaves was born on 12 October 1883 at 14 West Road, West Ham. Her father was George Thomas Neaves (Checking Clerk) and her mother was Sarah Ann Neaves, formerly Hicks..

At the time of the 1901 Census she was 17 and was working as a paper boy maker.

Their marriage certificate states that Edward Alfred Striker and Ethel Harriett Neaves were married at the Parish Church in the Parish of West Ham in the County of West Ham on 6 June 1908. Ethel Harriett Neaves was aged 24 Spinster [no occupation given] of 18 West Road. Her father was given as George Neaves, Labourer. The witnesses were Frank C Neaves (her uncle), AE Steff [?], and HE Hicks.
