Amelia was born on 23 July 1851 at Fore Street, St Clements, Ipswich, Suffolk.

I don't know if they are related, but I found a Norman family living at Tile(?) Home Farm in Stretham, Cambridgeshire in the 1861 census.

The head of the family is Robert Norman, a farmer of 208 acres, 44 years old. The other family members are:

Elizabeth, dau, unmarried, 19

Langford, son, unmarried, 17, ('farmer's son')

Rebecca, dau, unmarried 15, scholar

Jonathan, son, 13, scholar

William Morris, servant, unmarried, 14, ag. carter.

All the family members are listed as being born in Stretham.
