An allegation of mal practice was reported to the Disciplinary Sub-Committee of the B.A.F.
This allegation was fully investigated and the following recommendation is made for guidance of all members of the B.A.F.
"It has come to light that there may be confusion regarding methods of claiming pay for work done in some circumstances.
To eliminate this problem you are advised to contact your employer to ascertain the correct method of claiming for time spent on site.
For example, if the recommended maximum number of pupils per coach is 15 and there are 20 on the register, it follows that a second coach is required. However, if at a session only 14 pupils are present, the second coach is not now required, yet he/she has turned up for work. Is the second coach entitled to claim?
You are advised to discuss this situation with the employer to clarify the situation preferably when you take the job on."
