Chassis work

Miscellaneous chassis pictures.

Inside the rear chassis rails.

Bolts holes tubed and M20 nut for lifting eyes tacked into place before closing off the chassis.

The true Land Rover aficionado will recognise the warning sticker on the tube.

Lets hope I don't get any flat tyres :-)

Rear chassis boxed with 6mm steel tied into spring mounts

(temporary bolts for removable rear cross member, waiting for proper M12's)

1.6 Tonne lifting eyes used as recovery points
The crossmember is an automatic Range Rover gearbox crossmember.

The cage will run back to the very end of the chassis to help out with the strength.

The crossmember will be replaced by a winch mount for a Superwinch Husky as soon as funds allow.

Bolt in design allows for future engine removal.
