Superwinch H14 install

How to install a Superwinch H14 PTO winch

Recovery points, were the first thing to sort.

1.6T SLW lifting eyes

6mm bumper reinforced with another 6mm backing plate

M20 nut tacked into place, as access when the bumper is fitted will be tricky

The winch mount is a much modified Superwinch Defender bumper.

Front cross member cut out and edges plated, to give maximum contact patch for installation

Compare the install with a stock chassis
The winch bumper tied into the strongest point of the chassis, the steering brackets.
Fingers crossed the welding is good enough.

Plate for the underneath still needs to be done.

Here is the winch, in the cradle.

Minimal clearance to the power steering box to maximise approach angle.

Here is the PTO with the hydraulic pump removed.

There is a cover plate with oil seal but this isn't fitted at the moment.

Looks like the engagement lever can go on the right of the drivers seat.

Here is the run the PTO shaft has from the PTO in the bottom right, to the winch on the top left.
