Under the Laws of Cricket, as revised 18 months ago, all cricketers are reminded that Captains are obliged to toss up between 15 and 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. The Captain winning the toss is obliged to state immediately whether his side will bat or field first, and can no longer "wait and see" how many fielders he might have. Therefore, all players, not just the Captain, should aim to arrive no later than 30 minutes before the start of matches.
