Each year there are lots of new activities for scouts to participate in but 2012 brings something completely new!

2012 is the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee - that means that she has been on the throne for sixty years! It is a rare occasion because the only other British monarch to celebrate their diamond Jubilee was Queen Victoria back in 1897!

With such a rare event celebrations will be taking place throughout the year but particularly between the 1st - 4th of June.

Among other organisations celebrating the Diamond Jubilee, Scouts will be celebrating as well. To start there is the special Diamond Jubilee badge that every member of the 4th is entitled to.
