How to fold the Flag:

- Fold the flag into vertical thirds
- Concertina the flag half way
- Roll the other half of the flag
- Take the bottom string, wrap it around the flag and tuck a look back under the string wrapped around the flag.
- Pull the string that is closest to the loop you have just made and hoist the flag to the top of the pole.
- Wrap the string around the metal hook.
 SIMPLES!

How to break the Flag:

- Approach the flag in silence
- Give a short, sharp pull on the loose string
- Take two steps backwards
- Make the scout salute
- Return to your patrol SIMPLES!

How to lower the Flag:

- Approach the flag in silence
- Take the taught string and unwrap the string from around the hook
Let the taught string flow through your hand.
- As the flag approaches the floor grasp the sting and wrap the sting around the hook
- Take two steps back, pause
- Return to your patrol SIMPLES!
