	The Kingsale Hounds The Lords Kingsale are descended from Robert de Courcy, of Courcy-sur-Dives in Normandy. The 26th Lord Kingsale John de Courcy, b.1717, inherited the titles and estates of his cousin General de Courcy. John in described as being addicted to hunting and the pleasures of the chase and lived at Old Head Castle at Kinsale, County Cork. Here he kept a pack of hounds for the hunting of deer and the few remaining wolves in Ireland and imported a pair of specially bread pedigree hunting dogs to help him deal with the wolves. It is said that these dogs took part in the killing of the last wolf in Ireland in the 1760's. These magnificent hounds have been produced as a limited edition of 100 pairs, each having the edition number inscribed in an ingot at the rear of the plinth. To further substantiate the authenticity of the work, each pair comes with a beautifully bound provenance signed personally by the current Lord Kingsale - so pleased is he with this tribute to his ancestry.



	Pair of Lions These lions are made by Anglia Building Suppliers. A nice size which are paired left and right. They would make any entrance look grand.
