Club Information


Knock was one of the six founder members of the IWBA and a founder member of NIWPGL. Mrs Daisy Caughey of Knock was founder President in 1968 and was elected for a second term in 1969. The club provided a second president when Mrs Annabel Hewitt was elected in 1991 and a third when Mrs Irene Minnis was elected for the 2011 season.

We presently have forty playing members, three of whom are current internationals, and have teams in both senior and junior leagues and the Stylux and Hazel Getty cups. We also enter a team in the McMaster Cup.

Our members play an active part in NIWPGL competitions and IWBA approved tournaments as well as enjoying all the normal club activities including ladies rinks when we generally have a good attendance. The club runs mixed rinks competitions on Friday afternoon and Saturday evening and these provide an opportunity for members to enjoy the social aspect of the game.

We cater for all standards of player including those with disabilities, and would welcome new members. Open coaching sessions are held at the green on Saturday mornings during May & June from 10.00 -12 noon when top level coaches are in attendance.
