The use of compound and machine polish takes a small layer of paint from the car. A mistake could leave the car requiring a respray.

VW POLO BONNET

This bonnet was very discoloured and polish on its own would never restore it properly.

By compounding the bonnet the lustre of the paint work was restored to an almost new condition.

While expensive in terms of time, the results can be impressive. This still needs to be polished.

The pictures above are not of the best quality, but they were taken in the same lighting conditions and demostrate that faded paintwork can be restored without the need for a complete respray.
