Saturday 16th October Restarting with the first car away from Tobermory at noon for Stage 8, around Dervaig, the afternoon stages took the drivers around the island, ending up at Craignure around 5.00 - 7.00 p.m. (Start of Stage 12, above and left) |
| Unfortunately, three stages for the Trophy Cup, had to be cancelled due to incidents arising from an oil spillage from one of the vehicles, at Calgary Bay (right). |  |

The final leg of the Rally, commencing around 8.00 p.m. at Craignure, took the drivers around the island again, and back to Tobermory in the early hours of Sunday morning. Ninety-two cars finished out of the original 150 starters, and only 5 teams! |  "Craignure Inn" Rally Car |
