Peals and Quarter Peals
Since its first peal in 1761 the Society has rung approximately 225 peals and an exercise of detailing them all has commenced (March 2008). The Sherwood Youths is a non-territorial Society whose aim is to promote Change Ringing (see Society's Rules). Broadly centred around the Nottingham and surrounding areas, regular meetings are held, usually at towers with 8 or more bells. Visitors are welcome. Membership is by nomination and is for life.
