This year is the bicentennial anniversary of the death of William Doubleday Crofts, Master of the Society during the 18th century. A special section has been prepared covering the history of the Society which includes further details of this influential ringer. Peals and Quarter Peals
Since its first peal in 1761 the Society has rung over 240 peals and an exercise of putting them onto a database took place in Spring 2008. The results can be seen here:Details of recent Peals can also be found on www.peals.co.uk, Campanophile, and http://www.pealbase.co.uk

The Sherwood Youths is a non-territorial Society whose aim is to promote Change Ringing (see Society's Rules). Broadly centred around the Nottingham and surrounding areas, regular meetings are held, usually at towers with 8 or more bells. Visitors are welcome. Membership is by nomination and is for life.
