Discover Eastern England's Aviation Heritage
Both the county of Lincolnshire and the county of Norfolk have become known as Bomber County,
and both form a significant part of the nation's aviation heritage.
Sixty years ago Lincolnshire was home to the Lancasters of 1 Group and 5 Group of Royal Air Force Bomber Command,
Norfolk being home to the B-24s of the 2nd Air Division of the United States 8th Air Force.
