Lincolnshire
|
Lincolnshire provides many opportunities, and not just for the specialist aviation
enthusiast. Visitors to the county can combine aviation heritage with related
areas of interest - including churches, the built environment, social history,
pubs, and family history.
A wide range of help and advice is available from the many Tourist Information
Centres across the county, including advice on finding the way and information
on local facilities, where to eat and places to stay.
Visitor Information
Especially useful are the aviation heritage leaflets produced
by West Lindsey District Council, which cover
the area to the north of Lincoln,
and North Kesteven District Council, whose
the award-winning Airfield Trail features mid-Lincolnshire.
Details of the main aviation heritage centres, visitor centres,
and museums
are shown on their indvidual websites.
The Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire
promotes and presents the rich heritage of the county, for the benefit of local people and for visitors.
Further information is available from
Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire.
