Synthetic diamond
The synthetic monocrystalline diamond is obtained by a means of carbon synthesis. Its monocrystalline structure enables the diamond to have a flexible hardness according to the manufacturing process used.

Synthetic polycrystalline diamond
The synthetic polycrystalline diamond is an agglomerate of monocrystals obtained by explosion. The surface is slightly porous and is characterised by a darker colour than monocrystalline synthetic diamond.

Natural diamond The natural diamond is produced from the nature, the crystal of which is more or less perfect. It is generally of a very good hardness, but is less used than formerly in the industry.
