EXPERIENCE
March 1997 - Present : Mexico
Five Star resort in Mexico.
Hired as Director of Engineering. Responsible for 42 employees, 1.6 million dollars maintenance annual budget and 2.3 million capital expenditures annual budget. Development of a project management team and an effective preventive and corrective maintenance program.
August 1993 - March 1997:
A beach front hotel with 414 rooms and 10,000 sqft. casino.
Hired as Director of Engineering. Responsible for 25 employees and 4.5 million dollar annual maintenance budget. Developed an effective preventive and corrective maintenance program and reduce energy consumption by 30%. In charge of all new technological innovations and management of 14 million dollar capital investment project including hotel renovation.
September 1989 - August 1993:
Beach front three building complex with 660 rooms and casino.
Hired as Director of Engineering for the hotel renovation after hurricane Hugo disaster. Responsible for 60 employees and 6.0 million dollars anual budget. In charge of all engineering job within the hotel including involvement in the initial stage of a 40 million dollars renovation of the property.
January 1988 - September 1989:
Two building complex wit facilities of a radio and television broadcasting and El Mundo newspaper.
Hired as Director of facilities, responsible for building maintenance, housekeeping security and renovations project.
GENERAL
Proficient with computers ( Auto Cad, Microsoft Project Management, Lotus, Internet and others ) good management skills, problem solving oriented, fully bilingual, hands-on experience. Good knowledge in all hotels operation aspects. Experience with government agencies, insurance companies and architectural contract negotiations.
