FADH Software - What MVS software should be like

Installation and Service information

This page contains the latest fix and installation information. Updated 24/07/2001.

GENERAL notes :

*** PLEASE NOTE *** All assembler code distributed from this site is in MVS text deck form. It must be transferred between this site, your PC and an MVS host in BINARY format. When you select the "Download it now" hyperlink it should launch your browser's Download wizard.      (28/05/98)

All Rexx execs, JCL examples, zaps, helpfiles etc. are in 'clear text' ASCII. The easiest way to take a copy is to use the "File/Save As" option of your browser. The only potential problem in transferring these files between PC and Host is the ¬ (not) character used in some of the Rexx execs. Once you have loaded them to your MVS host, please check that the ¬ sign has not been corrupted.      (30/05/98).

SVC99DSN Rexx function

New fix level of SVC99DSN now available.      (12/10/99)

TSGQUERY utility

TSGQUERY/TSGDEVCK both use UCBLOOK/UCBSCAN macros. These have been assembled on an OS/390 system and use options relating to UCB's above 16mb etc. I don't know whether these options are ignored on MVS systems that don't support that function (ie MVS/ESA V3).      (28/05/98)

The TSGQUERY program uses a Rexx parameter list. You must invoke it in the manner shown in the sample Rexx exec.        (28/05/98).

The TSGQUERY program has to be added as an authorised Program/Command in IKJTSOxx.     (30/05/98)

New fix level of TSGQUERY now available.      (18/03/99)

TSGTSCAN utility
