SVC99DSN - Provides fast alternative to TSO ALLOC command.

This utility is a Rexx function that is installed as part of the IRXFUSER Rexx user function package. It provides a fast alternative to the TSO ALLOC command. It is especially useful in improving the time taken to logon onto TSO, when typically there are a large number of datasets allocated. 

HIGHLIGHTS

• Provides a fast alternative to TSO ALLOC.
• Supports all dataset types, including members of PDS/PDSE and GDG's.    
• Only provides allocation for cataloged datasets.
• Simple Rexx variable interface. 
• Includes RACHECK option. This is useful, if used within TSO logon, to decide if allocation should proceed (avoids RACF error messages). This interface uses the SAF router, so can be used in an ACF/2 environment as well.

INSTALLATION instructions

   1. Load object code to MVS dataset.

            Format BINARY, filesize 7Kb

   2. Run sample JCL to assemble and link IRXFUSER module.
