The Peter Reed Cup is awarded annually by the Parish Council.

Every year, the Peter Reed cup is awarded to the person who has contributed most to the parish in the last twelve months.

At the Parish Council meeting on 23rd September 2004, it was awarded to Vivienne Hesketh. Vivienne has spear-headed the Best Kept Village effort, and is the secretary of the highly successful Events Committee. For a number of years, she has run the Bottle Tombola at the village sports day, raising a lot of money in the process through her hard work. However, she says she accepts the accolade on behalf of all those who have helped her in the last year, thereby adding so much to village life.
