The Biplane on the right is dad Roy's Flair Puppeteer and it must be Roy on the sticks because it's not in a prop hang.

During the last couple of summers we've had several visits by Nathan Farrel Jones of the Delyn club flying both his 42% Krill Katana seen above and his Fibreclassics Giles both aircraft powered by DA 150cc twins. To say his flying is spectacular is the understatement of the year, for anyone whose not seen Nath flying I urge you to do so as soon as possible it's a treat not to be missed he truly is an awsome talent

Last Flight of the Rhyl & D.M.F.C Memorial Flight for 2007

Early November saw the last flight of 2007 for the Rhyl & D.M.F.C. Memorial Flight ie the Lancaster of John Barrows and the escorting Spitfire of Tim Mackey riding shotgun, the mission passed uneventfully with both aircraft returning unscathed from the sorte. Many thanks to Phil Barrow for the photos

The above two photos show Leigh Hodson's new delta test flown on Dec 15th , I think it's an own design inspired by a Weston Tiger Shark Lee's called it the Stingray and it's powered by an OS 25FP on a pipe The model built in four days and then tissue covered and airbrushed by Leigh. Leigh incidently is now the latest member of the Rhyl committee. Below you'll find a link to a video of the models test flight

Police Helicopter
The North Wales Police helicopter has become our new neighbor in the year 2000 if the heli is in close proximity and looks like over flying our site then club safety rules say that we should reduce altitude of any airborne model as soon as is reasonably possible. As far as I'm aware there have been no problems in this respect, the only thing that I've noticed is that the new twin engined Eurocopter is much quieter than the single engined Squirrel that it replaced and it can be much closer than you think.
