My interest in this name arises through JANE BROCK (1778/1852) of Okehampton, Devon who married my SHUTE ancestor FRANCIS in 1800.
She was the daughter of WILLIAM BROCK (1740/1819) and JOANNA HEANES. I have been unable to trace the baptism of WILLIAM. There were only occasional other BROCK entries in the Okehampton registers and I believe he came from another parish, as yet untraced.
I do have a lot of BROCK extracts from other Devon parishes but am still seeking help on this name.
